The history of Werner Wirth GmbH and Werner Wirth Systems GmbH goes back to 1965. It was in that year that Werner Wirth founded Werner Wirth KG, with the idea of taking over commercial agencies in the metalware industry.

Over the course of time, especially in the decade from 1970 to 1980, the company focused on commercial agencies in the electronics industry. In 1976, during this phase, Wolfgang Höppner joined Werner Wirth KG as managing director, taking over as sole shareholder in 1984.

Under his aegis the firm continued its core commercial agency business. The wholesale business and the production of cable assemblies are also focal areas for the company. As one of the market leaders, Werner Wirth GmbH supplies well-known customers both in Germany and abroad.

Sven Höppner joined the company in 1996. As Sales Director he coordinated the development of Werner Wirth GmbH as specialist distributors of plug-in connector systems and cable management. To complement the already comprehensive range of standard products, the company's design-in competence was enhanced. The company made a name for itself here, by providing consulting services for its customers' special constructions.
At the same time, Sven Höppner's successful expansion of Werner Wirth Systems focused on the development of innovative technologies for the manufacturers of electronic modules. This business area is seeing the development of innovative processes and products for component protection. With hotmelt moulding, coating, potting and melting as well as the construction of hotmelt machines and special tools, the company is expanding strongly in a dynamic market.
